Guidelines for the use of the Yorkton community logo

The logo is very easy to reproduce in many formats including print, digital, vinyl, silkscreen and hand painted signage. A number of colour variations and digital file formats are available to individuals and organizations wishing to use the community logo. It must not be altered or manually reproduced in any way other than as provided on this web site.

Logo guidelines

The following rules must be adhered to when using the community of Yorkton's logo on all communications:

• All advertising and publicity with which the community logo is associated must be in good taste and reflect favourably on the community of Yorkton and its events;
• No guarantees can be associated with this logo.

Yorkton's community logo is a valuable asset that symbolizes the positive spirit of the city. The logo should only be used in a manner that preserves its value and integrity. In order to conserve its value, it must be used correctly in all media at all times. These guidelines describe the correct treatment of Yorkton's Where Good Things Happen logo in advertising, packaging, correspondence and promotional materials of all kinds. The logo:

• Is a stand-alone identifier;
• May not be used as an element in a title, headline, phrase or sentence. In these cases, plain type should be used;
• Cannot be altered (cropped, outlined, italicized, printed over, stretched, etc.) in any fashion, nor may it be used as a border;
• Must not be incorporated into any other mark or logo without prior approval;
• May appear in any colour as long as it is dark enough to be readable. There are several colours to choose from; various colours have different meanings within certain settings or cultures;
• Must always have a minimum space clearance equal to the lower case "o" in "Yorkton";
• Must be reproduced in a solid black, white or colour format.

All black versions of the logo must appear on a white or light coloured background. All white versions of the logo must appear on a black or dark coloured backgound. No screens of black or white (greyscale versions) are acceptable.

Tagline guidelines

Yorkton's tagline, Where good things happen, should be used in conjunction with the logo when applied to promotional materials. The tagline is always to appear as one complete sentence, and must follow the same guidelines as the logo.
